Oranges & Black Beauty TNR Fund
Meet Oranges, a sweet ginger Tom Cat with a zest for life, and Black Beauty, his sleek, graceful partner in adventure. These two star-crossed lovers found solace and a plate full of kibbles on the porch of a kind-hearted lady in Herrin, who has become their guardian angel.
Not so long ago, Oranges faced the unfortunate fate of being abandoned. Roaming the streets in search of shelter and a friendly face, he stumbled upon our dear lady’s porch. It was love at first sight… for the porch, at least.
He watched, wide-eyed, as she fed her own fur babies.
The lady, with her big heart, started feeding Oranges what she could after noticing his hopeful gaze through the glass door.
Although she wished she could offer him more, her home was already a full house with three indoor pets.

When Black Beauty showed up, their connection was instantaneous.
But with fuzzy tales of companionship come the grave concerns of overpopulation. Herrin, our beloved town, faces the challenge of too many kitties and not enough homes. It’s a story repeated too often, leading to countless cats in need of care and love.
Fear not, for every problem has a solution! Spaying and neutering our furry friends, like Oranges and Black Beauty, is a giant leap toward controlling the cat population. Adopting instead of shopping, supporting our local animal rescues, and spreading the word are powerful actions we can all take.
